As many folks already know, CIRA announced January 24th that they were stopping TBR registrations until further notice. Today (Feb 13th) they announce plans to resume TBR registrations starting March 15.

I am guessing that CIRA will not release all the accumulated domain on March 15th. I expect and hope that they will release them over a few different weeks (since apparently TBR runs will be weekly now).

Rumor has it that CIRA suspended TBR registrations because one registrar (or group of registrars) had found a way to manipulate the TBR system and increase their chances of being "first in the door". A quick analysis of the first five domains registered each day between January 5th and 24th seems to validate this :(.
